Congressman Lloyd Doggett (D-TX) spoke on health care reform to the Real Voices for Change Forum in Austin, Texas, Saturday, August 29, 2009. The forum was presented by MoveOn.org, Organizing for America, the Travis County Democratic Party, Gray Panthers, and Health Care for All Texas. At the end of the speech, his constituents staged a mini-demonstration to express their gratitude for Mr. Doggett's support of REAL health care reform!
I am sorry you all did not get into the church sooner. The event was at best a little disorganized, partially for a GOOD reason - there were waaaaay more people there than expected!
ReplyDeleteI was on the Capitol steps with you. We here in Austin were told that there would be groups from Dallas and San Antonio and I am sorry that your group wasn't acknowledged. It was good of y'all to come!
